Our Story

A Burmese family's love for food, brought to the heart of Dubai

๐ŸŒธ

From the Rivers of Myanmar to the Streets of Deira

Asian Lotus began with a simple but powerful idea: to bring the authentic, soulful flavours of Myanmar to Dubai โ€” a city that celebrates the world's cuisines, but had never tasted true Burmese cooking.

The restaurant is owned by a Burmese family who grew up eating the dishes that now fill our menu โ€” Mohinga for breakfast on the streets of Yangon, rich mutton curries at family gatherings, cooling papaya salads on hot afternoons. These are not restaurant recipes. These are family recipes, cooked by a chef who was specially brought from Myanmar to ensure that every dish carries the genuine taste of home.

Located in Centurion Star Tower, Port Saeed, Deira, we welcome Dubai's international community to discover what makes Burmese food so special: the harmony of flavours, the warmth of hospitality, and the joy of generous, affordable, soul-satisfying food.

A Cuisine at the Crossroads

Burmese cuisine is one of Southeast Asia's great undiscovered treasures. It sits at a remarkable culinary crossroads โ€” drawing from the Indian subcontinent's rich spice tradition, the coconut and lemongrass of Southeast Asia, and the subtle techniques of Chinese Yunnan cooking.

At Asian Lotus, we celebrate this diversity. Our menu spans Myanmar specialties โ€” the Mohinga fish noodle soup, mutton curries, and traditional salads โ€” alongside broader Asian favourites like Curry Laksa, Nasi Goreng, Thai Green Curry, and Pineapple Fried Rice. There is something for every palate, every mood, every occasion.

And at approximately 50 AED per person, we believe the best food in the world should be accessible to everyone.

Three Cuisines, One Table

Our menu reflects Myanmar's extraordinary culinary heritage โ€” a meeting point of three great Asian food traditions.

South Asian Spice

Rich, warming curries with layers of spice โ€” inspired by the Indian and Bengali influences that shaped Myanmar's border cuisine. Bold but balanced, never overwhelming.

๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ

Southeast Asian Freshness

Coconut milk, lemongrass, kaffir lime and chilli โ€” the bright, fragrant hallmarks of Thai and Malaysian cooking that weave through our soups, noodles and curries.

Chinese Yunnan Subtlety

The delicate balance and clean presentation of Yunnan Chinese cooking, reflected in our wok dishes, rice preparations, and the gentle complexity of our broth-based soups.
